  1. Hey Loren, sorry if this is off topic, but I’m not sure where else to ask this: what are your thoughts on The Sopranos? I know you’re pretty big on TV/film, and I just started watching it recently. Absolutely love it, and am curious in reading your opinions/assessments of it. I did a search on your site and couldn’t find any results, aside from tangential shoutouts on a couple of other articles.

    Thanks in advance.

    • Believe it or not, Harvey, I haven’t seen the Sopranos. I’m a bit embarrassed about it, since it’s really the show that ushered in the golden age of 21st-century TV. Shows like Breaking Bad wouldn’t have been possible without the Sopranos breakthrough. At some point I’m going to watch the series — or so I keep telling myself!

      • Oh wow, I didn’t realize that! Once you get around to watching it, I’d love to read your thoughts on it. Always appreciate the breadth of material you cover here.

        Cheers.
